UN TOUR A CERGY

Cercy avait pour moi une image de banlieue froide, très mélangée tant par les styles au niveau de l'habitation que par sa population. Il est vrai que c'est une ville très étendue, bien plus que je ne me l'imaginais. Il reste certain que c'est une ville à forte population d'émigrés et cela est bien visible lorsque vous tombez sur le grand marché de la gare St Christophe.

Il est logique de dire que Cergy a deux visages. Premièrement le village ancien autour de son église du XIIème avec sa place principale et ses rues un peu tortueuses et étroites qui partent comme des rayons soit vers les terres, soit vers le port. Deuxièmement la ville nouvelle avec comme point d'orgue l'immense esplanade avec ses douze colonnes et son superbe panoramique sur le Grand Etang.

J'ai regardé à la recherche des immeubles déterriorés et sales, des groupements inquiétants, je n'ai rien vu. Ce que l'on appelle "les barres" sont des immeubles relativement modestes sur un terrain agréable et bordé d'arbres et qui vont être détruits pour en refaire de nouveaux. Je connais beaucoup de personnes qui accepteraient volontiers un appartement dans ces bâtiments.

Ce que j'ai vu, je vous le mets en vidéo et en photo. Vous serez peut être tout aussi étonnés que moi de constater que cette ville respire la tranquillité. Le port a un air de vacances et de confort, quant ce n'est pas l'opulence, avec ses bateaux amarrés.

De la gare St Christophe au port et de l'église à l'esplanade j'ai été conduite par une Martine, que beaucoup d'entre vous connaissent et aprécient, bien décidée à me prouver que SON Cergy ne mérite pas du tout la mauvaise réputation que voudraient lui coller certains. Honnêtement, avec moi, elle a gagné. C'est une ville où il fait bon vivre. Bucolique sous certains aspects. La preuve ? J'y retourne ce samedi pour le grand feu d'artifice qui sera lancé de l'esplanade. Avec qui ? Avec Martine bien sûr.

Cercy had for me an image of cold suburb, very mixed both by the styles at the level of the house and by his population. It is true that it is a very vast city, much more that I could imagine myself it. It remains certain that it is a city with strong population of emigrants and that is very visible when you are on the big market of the station St Christophe.

It is logical to say that Cergy has two faces. In the first place the old village around its church of the XIIth with its main square and its a little bit tortuous and narrow streets which leave as beams either towards lands, or towards harbor. Secondly the new town with as pause the immense esplanade with its twelve columns and its magnificent panoramic on the Big Pond.

I looked after damaged and dirty buildings, at disturbing groupings, I saw nothing. What we call " bars " are relatively modest buildings on a ground pleasant and lined with trees and which are going to be destroyed and to be reconstructed. I know many persons who would accept gladly an apartment in these buildings.

What I saw, I put it to you in video and in photo. You can be also amazed as me to notice that this city inhales the tranquillity. The harbor has an sight of vacation and of comfort, if it is not the wealthiness, with its moored boats.

From the station St Christophe to the harbor and from the church to the esplanade, I was driven by Martine, whom many of you know and like, well decided to prove me that HIS Cergy deserves in no way the bad reputation that some people would like to stick on him. Honestly, with me, she won. It is a city where life is enjoyable. Bucolic under certain aspects. The proof ? I return next Saturday for the big fireworks which will be thrown from the esplanade. With whom ? With Martine of course.
